How can I write interesting and useful posts and which functions support me in doing so?

If you're wondering how to write interesting and useful posts and which functions can help you do this, you've come to the right place. On this page you will find examples of content that you can use 1:1 or adapt for yourself to achieve your individual goals. If you have any questions about the technical implementation of this feature, you can find answers on this page: Channel & posts

To ensure that there are enough exciting and helpful posts on the platform, it makes a lot of sense to hold the channel admins accountable here. A content plan (approx. 8-12 weeks in advance) helps you to ensure that channels never "run dry". Features such as "Highlight" and "Plan ahead" also help you to pre-schedule posts and place important content in such a way that it doesn't get lost. Below you will also find post ideas for various channels and goals.

🚀Content for the go-live

  • A warm welcome
  • How do I maintain my profile?
  • Welcome from the CEO
  • Introduction to the menu tiles
  • Individual process explanations (e.g. holiday request, sick note, HEAT incident, spare parts order, ....)
  • Information contribution - manuals, FAQ about the app, goals of the app, help & feedback
  • Introduction of the editorial team

The company-wide news channel, which includes all employees, is ideal for this purpose. This can be used to create content that can be shared quickly and across departments.

💡Ideas for posts

Joint events and experiences

Integrate your team in the planning of events and create reviews. In dedicated event channels or in the company-wide news channel, you can

  • provide a preview of upcoming events (company meetings, Christmas/summer party, hiking day, etc.)
  • ask your team to vote on whether they would prefer a barbecue or an outing
  • Post pictures and videos; these generate much more feedback
  • Obtain participant votes and feedback for the next events

Organise competitions in the app

A real booster in onboarding! After all, who wouldn't want to be there when there's something to be won? The company-wide news channel is also ideal here, but you can also launch suitable competitions or promotions in special channels:

  • Competitions with interactions work best, e.g. an estimation question, or a quiz with different answer options are ideal here.
  • If you have a channel for runners, you could share charity events there and link them to a competition.

New addition to the team? Give the newcomer an official "Welcome"!
This makes onboarding easier for both sides:

  • Even better: the new colleagues introduce themselves.
  • Private matters allowed: Sharing hobbies makes the connection much easier
  • App access in advance: Some Flip users connect their new colleagues even before their first day at work.

Post tips and ideas for everyday working life, as this encourages others to share their own ideas. An open channel where everyone can share their tips is ideal for this. With the help of an ideas channel, suggestions for improvement reach the administration from the grassroots. Colleagues can add to the comments or contribute further solutions and tricks.

  • Small tricks, big impact: no improvement is too small to be posted. Each employee may only save one minute of time per day - with 600 employees, that's ten working hours per day.
  • Experience shows: If someone makes a start, others will soon follow suit.

Ask employees for feedback, because satisfied employees are high-performing employees.

  • One-click feedback is the easiest way to get employees involved.
  • A survey gives you a real-time overview of the mood and satisfaction in your company.
  • Many Flip users also involve the workforce in decisions in this way.
  • Depending on the case, a survey can be well-placed in company-wide channels as well as in departmental or role-specific channels.

Facilitates access to essential documents
Bye bye paperwork - the app turns even older files into a mobile knowledge pool.

  • Guides, project work, processes, organisational charts, white papers, instructions and machine plans can be accessed in groups and posts with just one click. The highlight function can be used to make special articles quickly accessible in the long term.
  • It is a good idea to create your own channels for documents in specific subject areas. The documents can also be subsequently updated in the corresponding posts without having to create a new post.
  • For example, a meal plan can also be displayed in a dedicated channel.

Find experts at the tap of a finger, because teamwork makes a dream work.

  • Where can I find the right spare parts, what does this error message mean? Employees almost always get an answer to questions like these from their own colleagues.
  • A dedicated channel for questions offers great added value here. This strengthens personal responsibility, team spirit and also takes the pressure off managers.

Internal job exchange, because often the best people are already working for you.

  • Simply distribute internal job advertisements via a post in a dedicated channel.
  • Many Flip users place the internal job board prominently in the menu.

Keep your departments up to date
You can share the latest information and changes to your products, systems or outages in dedicated channels without employees having to go to the trouble of obtaining this information themselves or not receiving it at all. This answers questions before they are asked.

EXAMPLE POSTS:

  • Information about new products
  • Updates in the POS system
  • Product recall
  • Information on production stop/machine failure
  • Changed opening/closing times
  • Emergency communication (fire, theft/burglary, power failure, flooding)
  • Theft prevention

Tip: a short video/tutorial for more complex topics will make it easier to understand.

Monitor contribution performance and take targeted action

As a system administrator, you can use Analytics in the admin console to monitor the performance of individual posts. The heat map also helps you find out what the best time is for you to publish a post. A detailed description can be found here: Analytics Dashboard: KPI Definitions & FAQ
