PERIODS
→ the dashboard only includes statistics of complete days, i.e. there is no data of the current day, the most recent data is from yesterday
Period Filter [F]: All graphics with the suffix "[F]" at the end of the title are linked to the period filter and can be adapted accordingly. All visualizations that are not marked are static , i.e. cannot be adjusted.
Status: previous day = refers to the current status of the data, which was last updated based on the value of the previous day (e.g. on May 4, the status of May 3 23:59 is displayed).
Period: last 12 months = shows the data of the last 365 days split into calendar months (current month until the previous day)
Alltime = entire period of using Flip (since day 1 of the implementation / go-live)
Total = period of the flexibly adjustable dashboard filter (top left in the dashboard)
ONBOARDING
Licenses = All Flip licenses available to your company according to the contract
Users = Users created in Flip that are available for use (licenses used)
Unused Licenses = Difference between available licenses (Licenses) and used licenses (Users)
Onboarded User = User who has logged in at least once and read at least one post in the newsfeed
Onboarded User % = Share of onboarded users of all Users (”licenses used”) in %
Onboarding Progress % = Onboarded Users / Users in %
USAGE
AU / Active User = User who has read at least one post in the newsfeed in the given period of time
Never-logged-in User = Difference between all users and onboarded users
Deleted User = former user who no longer exists and is no longer counted as a user because the account has been deleted
💡 USER-CALCULATION:
Licenses
= Users + unused Licenses
= (Onboarded Users + Never-logged-in Users) + unused Licenses
= ((Active Users + Inactive Users) + Never-logged-in Users) + unused Licenses
MAU = monthly Active Users, measured by counting the number of unique active users within the last 30 days.
Max MAU = Highest measured MAU value within the last 30 days
WAU = weekly Active Users, measured by counting the number of unique active users within the last 7 days.
Max WAU = Highest measured WAU value within the last 7 days
DAU = daily Active Users, measured by counting the number of unique active users within the last 24h (measured by the end of the day → value of the previous day)
DAU/MAU = ratio of daily active users to all active users per month. A DAU/MAU ratio of 50% would mean that your users engage with your app, on average, 15 out of 30 days. -> indicator to measure if daily active users are active several times per month ("stickiness")
MAU/WAU/DAU onboarded % = Share of MAU/WAU/DAU in all onboarded users (as of the last day of the respective 30/7/1-day period) in %
MAU/WAU/DAU total % = Share of MAU/WAU/DAU in all users (as of the last day of the respective 30/7/1-day period) in %

FAQ: Dashboard & KPIs
- What does the “[F]” sign after the heading mean for some graphics?
The star symbol marks the visualizations that react to the period filter and can be adjusted accordingly. Graphics that do not contain a “[F]” indicate a fixed time period that cannot be adjusted. - Why do some graphics not adjust when I change the period filter?
Some visualizations are intentionally built in such a way that they always constantly display the same time period, as they would otherwise lose their meaning. This is the case, for example, with all-time graphics or visualizations that display the current status. - Can I view other numbers that are not available in the dashboard?
Currently, we only provide this one standard dashboard. However, we are working hard to provide you with even more insights in the future. If you have any questions, please contact your Customer Success Specialist. - What does it mean if I see negative numbers (e.g. -8 Onboarded Users)?
Negative numbers occur when elements (i.e.: onboarded users etc.) are deleted or when the number of created elements is lower than the number of deleted elements (e.g. 2 new users - 4 deleted users = -2 users total). - Which timeframe is applied to the charts that are not filterable (Graphs without “[F]” in the title)?
For the charts that cannot be filtered, the time period is indicated either in the name of the chart (e.g. “Alltime”) or in the info text (opens when you hover over the grey information symbol next to the title), e.g. Status: previous day, Period: 12 months. - What does “Status: previous day” mean?
This refers to the current status of the data shown, which was last updated based on the data of the previous day (e.g. on May 4, the status of May 3 23:59 is displayed). - Why are WAU and MAU shown as maximum value (max), whereas DAU isn’t?
This is based on the calculation of the respective values: since DAU is calculated based on the last 24h and thus only includes one calendar day, DAU always shows the number of active users of the previous day. However, since WAU and MAU cover a (rolling) period of several (7 or 30) days, they are affected by fluctuations due to weekends or holidays (depending on your company's business hours). To still reflect the intensity of usage, the largest value (max) within the rolling period is used. - Are the posts surveys also being translated via the translation feature?
Yes, surveys are also translated when clicking the translation button.
