💡 This feature is available on Flip Web and in the mobile app.
How does the feature work?
You can publish one post in several channels in a single step. This way, you do not have to create the same post for each channel separately.
Flip creates a separate post in each selected channel. Comments, reactions and views are therefore counted per channel.
You can only select channels in which you are authorised to post.

What applies to several channels?
Some options depend on your rights in each channel. With several channels, these rules apply:
- Schedule and highlight: You only see these options if you are a channel admin in all selected channels. Find out more: How can I schedule posts in advance? and How do I create a post as a highlight?
- Approval: Approval applies to each channel separately. In channels without approval, the post is published directly. In channels with approval, it waits for approval. A notice shows you beforehand which channels need approval. Find out more: Approval of posts
- Mentions: You can only mention people who are members of all selected channels. This way, nobody is notified about a post they cannot see.
- Post on behalf of someone else: You can only select authors who are members of all selected channels. Find out more: How do I create a post on behalf of someone else?
- Comments and reactions: If an option is turned off by default in one of the selected channels, it is first turned off for the post in all channels.
- Surveys: Each channel gets its own survey. Votes are counted per channel.
After publishing
A confirmation window shows the channels your post was published in and how many people it can reach. People who are members of several of the channels are only counted once.
The title of the window shows the result:
- Post published 🎉: The post is visible in all channels.
- Post scheduled 🗓️: The post will be published at the scheduled time.
- Post waiting for approval ✅: The post waits for approval in all channels.
- Post created ✅: The result differs per channel. Channels in which the post waits for approval are marked with "Approval".
Click on "View post" to open the post.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't I see the options "Schedule post" or "Post as highlight"?
You are not a channel admin in at least one of the selected channels. Remove this channel from your selection or publish the post without these options.
Why can't I mention a person?
The person is not a member of all selected channels.
If I edit one of the posts, do the others change too?
No. Each channel has its own post. You edit or delete each post separately.
Can I publish an existing post in another channel later?
Yes, you have two options:
- Duplicate: You create a copy in one or more channels. The original post stays. How can I duplicate a post?
- Move: You transfer the post to exactly one other channel. Comments and reactions are lost. How do I move a post to another channel?
