How do I create a post on behalf of someone else?

How does the feature work?

User A can create a post on behalf of User B. This setting is general and not channel-specific, meaning User A can create a post on behalf of User B in any channel where both are members.

Requirement: User A and User B must both be members of the desired channel.

Set who can create a post on behalf of another user

  • Navigate to the Admin Console
  • Click on "User management"
  • Click on "Post on behalf"

  • Click on "+New assignment"

  • First, select the user who should have the right to post on behalf of others (Creator).
  • Then, select the user on whose behalf the post will be created (Displayed author).

 

Create a post on behalf of another user

  • Create a post in a channel where you have the permission to create a post on behalf of someone else.
  • Select a different author from the top left.

  • Write your post.
  • Publish your post.
  • The published post will now appear in the name of the author you selected.
