The preview shows your calendar exactly as your colleagues will see it, on any day of the season. Use it to check every door before publishing, and to see what's coming next while the calendar is live.
Opening the preview
Click Preview at the top of any calendar tab, or Open the preview in step 6 of the setup guide. Opening it once ticks off that step.
The banner says it plainly: This is a preview. Nothing counts: no doors are opened, no points or answers are saved. You can open doors, answer quizzes and vote as often as you like. A quiz shows which answers are right, with your explanations, as it will for participants.
Moving through the days
The date at the top left is the day you're looking at. The preview starts a quarter of the way into the calendar, so a few doors are already opened. The arrows on either side of it go a day back or forward. Click the date to pick any day of the calendar, whether it has passed or not.
On each day, doors before that day are shown as opened, that day's door is ready to open, and later doors are locked, just like for a colleague who opened every door on its day. Click a door to open it as your colleagues would; a locked door says when it opens.
What the preview shows
- The doors in the same shuffled order your colleagues see. The order is fixed for your calendar, so everybody sees the same grid.
- The whole page: your cover image or logo, welcome texts, design and colours, the points and leaderboard.
- Each door's content, full size, as it opens for your colleagues.
- Any language of the calendar, on a phone or a desktop, in light or dark mode: the switches next to the date.
- Example figures where real ones would need people's activity, such as poll results and shared goal progress. They're labelled as examples.
The preview uses your saved settings. The door editor's own preview also shows unsaved changes.
Previewing a single door
- In the door editor, the preview on the right shows the door you're editing, as a phone or a desktop, in light or dark mode, opened, closed or locked. See Editing doors.
- On the Doors tab, a door's ⋮ menu has Preview on its day: it opens the preview on that door's day with the door open.
Tip: Before publishing, walk through all 24 days once in the preview, on a phone-sized window. It's the quickest way to catch a missing image or a typo.
