The export is a ZIP file with everything your calendar holds: its settings, every door's text and images, all figures and the raffle entrant lists. Download it after the season: on the season's end date, the advent calendar deletes everything, and Flip keeps no copy.
Downloading the export
- On a draft, upcoming or live calendar: the ⋮ menu at the top → Download export.
- On an ended or archived calendar: the Download export button at the top.
- In the list of calendars: a calendar's ⋮ menu → Download export.
On a new draft, Download export is greyed out until you've chosen the ready-made calendar or an empty start in the setup guide's first step, Languages and content: there's nothing to export yet. See Getting started.
The admin says Preparing the export. The download starts shortly. It can take a moment for a calendar with many images. Every export is recorded.
What's in the export
The ZIP contains one folder named after your calendar and its start date:

All figures are totals; only the raffle lists name people.
The deletion date
The admin shows the deletion date wherever it matters:
- The list of calendars: Download each calendar's export before 1 March 2027. On that day the advent calendar and all its data are deleted.
- The Overview of an ended or archived calendar.
Figures are updated every 30 minutes, so an export made during the season can miss the last half hour. Download the final export after the calendar has ended.
Using last year's content
Each door's text is in a readable Markdown file per language, and its images are in the same folder. Next season, you can copy texts and upload images from there into a new calendar.
