A Date Select action lets the flow user pick a date from a date picker, rather than typing one in free text.

Adding a Data Select to a message

1. Open the message you want to add it to
2. Add a Data Select action
3. Give the button a name - this is shown to the flow user
4. The flow user will be shown a date picker when they click this button
5. Reference the date they chose in later messages, conditions, or other steps

Good to know

• Picking a date this way avoids free-text parsing problems (people typing "next Tuesday" or "12/1" in different formats) — the value you get back is a clean date.
