A User Select action lets the flow user pick a person from your Flip app directory — for example, choosing their manager, or picking a colleague to nominate for recognition.

Adding a User Select to a message

1. Open the message you want to add it to
2. Add a User Select action
3. The flow user will be shown a searchable list of people to choose from when they reach this step

Using the picked person later in the flow

1. Add a Get User step after the User Select
2. Set its lookup to the User Select's output (e.g. user_select_1).
3. Use the looked-up profile (e.g. {{fetched_user.first_name}}) in later messages or steps.

Good to know

• Whoever is selected doesn't get used anywhere until you connect the User Select's output into a later step (typically Get User).
