Creating a Channel

1. To create a new channel, go to the "Channels" section in the Admin Console and click on the button "+ Add new channel" in the top right-hand corner of the main menu.
2. A window will then open in which you can select a channel name, a channel image and a channel description.
3. Clicking on the field "Create channel" completes the process.
   

To make further settings for the channel, search for the channel in the overview and click on the channel name. This will open the settings for the respective channel.

In the "Authorization" section you can set who is allowed to create posts in this channel in the future, e.g. only channel owners or all users.
In the "Features" section you will find other functions that you can define for the channel.

Under the tab "Members" you can manage the members of the channel. This includes adding, removing and organizing roles. How this works is described here.

Editing a Channel

To edit a channel, click on the channel name in the "Channel" section of the Admin Console. 
You can then make the appropriate settings here.

Below you can edit the channel name, description and picture.

Authorization

Here you can determine who can post, whether only channel admins or all users

Features

The following features can be set here for each channel: 

• Allow/disable likes and comments
• Allow/disable download of PDF files
• Allow/disable download of images and videos
• Show posts in newsfeed
  • Determine if posts of this channel should be displayed in the newsfeed for all users of this channel
• Show/hide channel members
• Open channel
  • Determine whether channel members are allowed to join and leave the channel

Deleting a Channel

You can delete a channel in the channel overview by clicking on the three dots on the right and selecting "Delete channel".
