Note:
The settings for push notifications differ depending on the operating system of your computer and smartphone. Make sure you follow the appropriate instructions:
1. Enable push notifications on iOS devices (iPhone, iPod, iPad)
- Open the system settings on your iOS device.
- Select the item "Notifications". Here you can activate or deactivate push notifications for all apps on your device separately.
- Navigate to "Employee App".
- Allow notifications and check that all other settings have been made correctly (see 3rd screenshot).
If you still don't receive any push messages, you may have activated the power-saving mode. You can deactivate it as follows: System settings > Battery > Power saving mode
2. Enable push notifications on Android devices
On your Android smartphone, there are two ways to enable permission to receive push notifications. Therefore, please check the settings for both the employee app (2.1) and the Chrome browser (2.2).
To guarantee the reliability of the push notifications, please download the staff app only via the Chrome browser.
2.1. Android system settings of your employee app
- Open the settings on your Android device.
- Select the item "Apps & notifications". Here you can set push notifications for all apps on your device separately.
- Navigate to your employee app.
- Under the item "Notifications" you can allow or block push notifications.
2.2 Android system settings of the Chrome app
- Open the settings on your Android device.
- Select the item "Apps & notifications". Here you can set push notifications for all apps on your device separately.
- Navigate to the Chrome browser.
- Under "Notifications" you can allow or block push notifications.
2.3 Huaweii system settings (HarmonyOS)
The following instructions are for checking the battery settings to ensure that they do not affect the reliability of push notifications.
- Open the settings on your Huawei device.
- Select the "Battery" item and make sure the following options are all disabled:
- "Power mode"
- "Power saving"
- "Ultra power saving mode".
- Then select 'App start' from 'Settings > Battery'.
- Scroll to your employee app and set the switch there to "Off".
- A dialogue appears with three options ("Auto Start", "Secondary Start" and "Run in Background"). Make sure that all three options are activated and confirm by tapping on "OK".
3. Settings via the Chrome browser (Windows/MacOS)
- Open your Chrome browser and enter the URL of your employee app in the address bar (e.g. company.flip-app.com).
- Log in with your username and password.
- To the left of the address entry you will find a black lock symbol under which you can access the website settings.
- Under "Notifications" you can activate or block the receipt of push notifications.
The last step is to log out of the employee app and log back in. Then test the push notifications with a colleague.
