New Mobile Menu

We are developing a new design for the employee app menu, which can already be activated for the mobile app through your Customer Success Manager at Flip. Visual adjustments for the Flip web app will be implemented in the coming weeks.

The new mobile menu will automatically activate for all customers at the end of Q3. In the meantime, please update your menu items in the Admin Console to enhance the appearance of your menu in the future!

  1. To optimize your menu tiles, go to Admin Console → Content → Menu Tile.
  2. Click on the menu tile and select an icon or add an image. You can choose either an icon or a background image for each menu tile, then save your changes. The recommended size is a minimum of 256×256 px, and only .jpg or .png formats are allowed.
  3. Please save your changes. The customizations will be immediately visible on both mobile and desktop.

The flip menu tiles (tasks, knowledge base, calendar, and contacts) are displayed in the primary and contrast colors, which can be configured in the Admin Console under Settings → Branding. Menu tiles with an icon and no image will also follow this color scheme in the background.

What are the advantages of the new menu design?

  • Better use of screen space
  • Increased branding through banner images
  • Improved clarity and readability due to the separation of image and name, now compliant with accessibility regulations for app use.

To display an attractive, large logo or banner image in your menu in the future, upload a banner image in the Admin Console under Branding. This will appear in both the newsfeed and the menu. If you do not upload a banner image, we will display the logo stored in the Admin Console as usual.
