The post to channel message part allows you to trigger a message to be posted from a flow to a channel on Flip. This is a great way to get information submitted by a flow users into a channel where more people can review said info. For example, escalating questions and queries, recognition messages or notifications that certain tasks have been completed.
Please note: Your API client must be a part of the channel you want to post to in order for this feature to work.
How it works
1) Build your trigger message and add your message part
Build out your trigger message. In this example, I have an Onboarding Flow, which will trigger a message from the flow user if they have come across an issue in their onboarding journey. The query will then be posted to my New Onboarders channel in Flip, where a member of the onboarding team can look into the query in more detail.
In the trigger message, make sure you build out the message that your flow users sees (as you can see in the text box below) before adding your Post to Channel message part.

2) Add your Post to Channel message part
In the message part menu, choose Post to Channel:
3) Add your post text
Add in your text - this will be the text that will be seen in the channel post. You will be asked to add a title and body text for your post. For example:
4) Configure your "Post to channel" settings
Click on "Post to channel settings" and select your desired channel from the dropdown menu:
If you have recently created your channel and it doesn't pull through on the dropdown menu, click the "refresh channels" button and try again. If it still doesn't pull through, double check that the API client attached to your flow is a member of the channel you are trying to connect to.
5) Save your message and test your flow
Save your message, push your changes live and test your flow to make sure the flow is triggering the post to the channel as expected. The post will show up in the channel, posted by the flow. You can then interact with the post as usual.
Adding an image to your post
You can also add an image to your post by clicking on the camera icon in the Post to Channel message part, and uploading an image from your drive:
This will then show up as a header image on your post.
