Flows are built to automate repetitive processes that save you time so you can be more productive at work. A recurring broadcast is a great way of sending out reminders and tasks at regular intervals, without having to keep scheduling a broadcast each time. This is a great tool for monthly town hall flows, bi-yearly review flows or even weekly pulse check-ins.
How it works
1) Set up your broadcast
Go into the Broadcast page of your flow. Click 'schedule new post', and select a message and audience. You can find out more about how to set up a broadcast here. You will then see a "Repeat" checkbox. Select this checkbox to launch the settings:
2) Choose your "Repeats" cadence
From the dropdown menu, choose whether the post occurs Daily, Weekly or Monthly:
3) Choose your frequency
Choose the frequency of your recurring broadcast. In the example below, I have decided to send a message out to my audience, every 2 weeks on a Monday:
4) Choose your earliest start date
Set the date and time you wish it to start from using the date picker:
The recurring message will broadcast at the time same time that you schedule this initial broadcast e.g. this will go out every 2 weeks on a Monday at 9am, everytime.
You can also set an end date for your recurring broadcast:
On will allow you to set the date of the last broadcast using the date picker.
After will allow you to type in when it should end based on the number of occurrences i.e it will end after it has been sent out for a year, so 52 times:
5) Schedule your recurring broadcast
When you're happy with your broadcast settings, click the "schedule" button in the bottom, right hand corner:
Your broadcast will be scheduled/sent, and you will be taken back to the broadcast list to view your broadcast details.
Editing your message once it's scheduled
If you need to update your message in between reoccurrences, you can. The updated message will then be sent as the next scheduled broadcast. Make sure to push changes live when making these updates, to ensure that the new message is going out.
