Disabling or deleting flows

If you need to take your flow offline, you can do so by temporarily disabling it or deleting it entirely.

Disabling your flow allows you to temporarily disconnect your flow so it can no longer be used or discovered by flow users. You can reconnect your flow again by going to the homepage of the flow and connecting it back to Flip. You can also go ahead and delete the flow from this step, if it's no longer required at all.

Deleting a flow permanently removes the flow from the platform. You will not be able to retrieve the flow, its contents or stats once you have deleted it.

How it works

1) Head to your flow and scroll down to and click "Disable bot" under "Extras" in the grey, left hand column:

2) You will then be taken to this page, where you will be prompted to type in the word "DISABLE" to confirm that you want to disable your flow:

3) Once you type and click the "disable" button, you will then be taken back to your homepage and receive confirmation that your flow has been disabled:

4) Your disabled flow will still live on your homepage under "Disabled flows":

You can go ahead and reconnect or delete your flow at any point by clicking on the flow, and following the steps outlined below.

Reconnecting your flow

1) Click on the flow you want to reconnect - you can find it under "Disabled flows" on your homepage.

2) You will then be taken to your flow. To start reconnecting your flow, click on the "Connect flow to Flip" button:

3) You will then be asked if you want to reconnect to Flip or switch to a different API client:

If you click "Reconnect", your flow will be connected to your tenant and API client, as it was before. It will take one click, and you will then be taken back to your flow:

If you click "Switch API client", you will be asked to follow the same steps as the connection process. You can read more about this process in this doc.

Deleting your flow

1) Your flow must be disabled before if can be deleted.

2) Go to your homepage and scroll down to your disabled flows, and click on the red dustbin icon on the bot you would like to permanently delete:

3) To ensure you don't delete your flow by accident, you must type "DELETE" into the required field:

Click the "Delete" button, and your flow along with it's contents and analytics will be permanently deleted. You will not be able to retrieve your flow's contents or analytics once flow deletion has taken place.
