To protect organizational data, organization owners can deny access to a branded Flip app from jailbroken (iOS) or rooted (Android) devices. If this setting is activated for the Branded app, employees with those devices will be blocked. The setting can only be activated or deactivated via your Flip contact person and requires an app update.
You can make the following settings for your organization in your branded app:
Block
With the "Block" setting, the branded app cannot be used by employees if there is a suspicion that a device with jailbreak or root access is being used¹.
Hints
With the "Hints" setting, employees can continue to use the Branded app. They will only be notified after installation if there is a suspicion that a jailbroken or rooted device is being used¹.
¹ Flip has developed this algorithm to detect jailbreak and root access based on industry best practices. Please note that our system may not be able to detect all compromised devices; and that we may incorrectly flag devices as compromised that are actually fine.
