Creating the iOS Distribution Certificate

  1. Sign in to your Apple Developer account and navigate to Certificates, IDs & Profiles -> Certificates
  2. Click on the Plus Icon to create a new certificate
  3. Under Software, select iOS Distribution
  4. Click Continue
  5. Create a certificate signing request
  6. Upload a Certificate Signing Request
  7. After the upload click Continue
  8. Download your certificate to your Mac
  9. Once the file is downloaded, double-click on it in Finder. This will open your Keychain Access app, and you will see that the certificate has been installed on your computer.
  10. Right-click on the certificate and select Export.
  11. You will be prompted to create a password to secure the file, we recommend you do so
  12. Select the file format .p12
  13. Select a folder where you collect this file and more files that will be created in the next steps
  14. Enter the name distribution (Full name: distribution.p12)
  15. Click Save
  16. Keep the file and the password for sending it to Flip later
